Everwell’s Antiracism Workshop Inspired by Me and White Supremacy by Layla F. Saad, Facilitated by Amanda Hanson, PsyD

July 6, 2020 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

$150

Our predominantly white, privileged community will begin the soul work to become better humans to our Black community. This is how:

We will read.
We will learn.
We will listen.
We will grow.
We will cry.
We will unfold.
We will examine from the inside out.
We will challenge ourselves.
We will commit to the work.

About the Facilitator

Amanda Hanson, PsyD, is a psychologist who has worked with vast populations of Humans. She is an activist, humanitarian, CEO of Activating Humans, and co-leader of Fairfield Yabantu, an antiracism group in Fairfield, CT. Amanda lives her life with the philosophy of Ubuntu…a South African word meaning “humanity” and is translated as “I am because we are.” Amanda is unrelenting in her questioning of societal expectations, why they are in place and who they actually protect. She fearlessly says and does the uncomfortable things, which more often than not lead to transformation. Amanda is a mom to four incredible human beings: a black son, a brown son, a white son and a white daughter. Amanda is love-filled, light-filled and welcoming, and because she loves nothing more than working with ALL people to help them transform their lives, Everwell is thrilled that she will be leading our Antiracism Humanity Workshop on Me and White Supremacy.

All participants will need the Layla F. Saad’s text Me and White Supremacy for all sessions starting Week 2. Due to high demand, Me and White Supremacy is on backorder, but call in your order to Barrett Bookstore or your other local bookstore to secure your copy as soon as possible.

100% of proceeds from this workshop will be donated to Black Women’s Blueprint.
