The Turkey Transit

It’s the first annual Turkey Transit!

Run with us on a special Sunday Shop Run to help deliver turkeys and other yummy food items to Open Door Shelter in South Norwalk.

We’ll start at Calf Pasture Beach, and run 3 miles to Open Door Shelter. About 1/4 mile from the shelter, we’ll be on the route to hand off a frozen turkey for YOU TO CARRY AND DELIVER! Get creative; however you can carry a 10-15 lb turkey is up to you. Backpack? Baby carrier? Big biceps? All good!

After delivery we’ll run the 3 miles back to Calf Pasture and enjoy refreshments and light bites. What a great way to kick off your Sunday and the holiday season!

We’ll supply the turkeys, your entry fee is a bag non-perishables that we’ll transport to the shelter for you that morning. Please RSVP so we have a turkey for you!
