What is mindfulness? And why does it matter? What’s happening in the brain when emotions take over? And how does mindfulness change the brain’s basic response to challenge? How can we incorporate mindfulness at home? Join Amanda Hilton for a conversation about why mindfulness matters for ourselves and our children.
With a passion for education and psychology, Amanda Hilton works in a variety of school and community settings to support children and families in developing tools for mindfulness, resilience, and mind-body wellness. Amanda is a licensed elementary school teacher, a yoga instructor with a specialization in children’s yoga, and a Reiki practitioner. In addition to being certified in The Center for Resilient Leadership’s “Pathways to Empower” resilience training curriculum, Amanda is currently pursuing her Master’s degree at Columbia University’s Spirituality Mind-Body Institute.
