The Museum of Darien is bringing colonial history to life at the Early American Planter Workshop, a hands-on gardening experience led by local Darien mom and garden enthusiast, Melissa Kelley. This twice-sold-out workshop invites participants to explore the charm of early American gardens while creating their very own living indoor planters. Spots are available for the Thursday, March 12th workshop, which takes place from 7-8:30pm.
Attendees will receive guidance on assembling planters filled with soil, flowers, and plants, along with practical tips for maintaining long-lasting greenery in their homes. The workshop is designed for gardeners of all levels and offers a unique opportunity to connect with local history through horticulture. Ticket price includes a planter container, soil, flowers and all plants. “This workshop is perfect for anyone looking to bring a bit of early American charm into their home while learning practical skills for indoor gardening” commented Kelley, a local gardening specialist.
Cost for the workshop is $50 for members and $60 for non-members. Spots are limited, and early registration is encouraged to secure a place in this popular workshop.
