Jazz Singer Christi Bye to Perform “America the Beautiful” Cabaret to Benefit the Museum of Darien

The Museum of Darien invites the community to a special evening of light bites, wine, music, history, and celebration as acclaimed jazz singer Christi Bye presents “America the Beautiful,” a jazz cabaret benefit performance honoring America’s upcoming 250th anniversary.
The event will take place Saturday, February 7, 2026, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Museum of Darien. This intimate concert experience blends jazz, storytelling, and patriotic reflection enriched by a display of historic flags from the Museum’s collection.
Christi Bye hails from Kansas City where she grew up performing in musical theater, church and concert venues. Christi earned her bachelor’s degree from Belmont University in Nashville, including a one-year vocal study at Gnesins Academy of Music in Moscow, Russia. She received her master’s in teaching and K-12 music certification from Lindenwood University in St. Charles, MO and has pursued singing, choral conducting and directing roles in jazz, classical and musical theater settings for 30+ years. Christi and her family are delighted to newly settle in Darien and Christi is thrilled to share her talents with the community.
The Museum’s cabaret evening will begin with a reception, allowing guests to mingle and enjoy light bites and drinks in the historic surroundings of the museum. The reception will be followed by Christi Bye’s concert, featuring inspired interpretations and commentary. The night will conclude with desserts and guided tours of the historic homestead, offering attendees a deeper connection to Darien’s local history.
This benefit will support the Museum of Darien’s mission to preserve and share the town’s rich heritage while engaging the community through dynamic educational programming.
