Not too long ago, Noble House Media Group gave away a free website, "The Website for Local Business" package at the Chamber's Darien Wine & Food Tasting and Charity Benefit. Darien Candidates to Speak on NWT Darien Podcast

NWTD is a local Podcast hosted by Liz Geiger and Taylor Carter featuring topics for and about the town of Darien. This fall, NWTD is inviting candidates for Darien's Board of Education and Board of Selectmen to give a brief introduction of their qualifications and campaign platforms. The show will also feature Jim Cameron, Media Specialist and host of CH79 (our town television station) and Chamber Member Ken Skovron of the Darien Cheese Shop. The Darien Arts Center and Darien Parks and Recreation's 2nd Annual Rocktoberfest, is being held on October 2 from noon-6pm at Highland Farm, to benefit the DAC. The event will feature three musical guests, family-friendly activities and food, drink, business, and craft vendors. Musical guests Shotdown, Waller and Doug Allen are performing at the concert. Fun and creative family-friendly events will include chalk drawing and mural painting led by DAC Visual Arts instructors, strolling magician Steve Dane and performances by DAC dancers.

YWCA 2nd Annual Light the Night Fundraiser
October 18 - October 24
As part of the YWCA’s annual WEEK WITHOUT VIOLENCE National initiative, the YWCA Darien/Norwalk will be selling Luminary Kits’ to be lit on Sunday October 24th at sundown to shed light on Domestic Violence against women and girls. Each kit includes 10 luminaries to display in front of your home or business. It will also provide access to 7 days of prevention and intervention help and resources. Funds from sales will be used to send children who have been abused to CAMP HOPE where they learn to heal and regains some of their childhood, as well as to support the YWCA’s Advocacy and mission driven programming.
